Love is a commodity

By Kimberley Pearson

You can make.

Light dance

Fireworks

Alchemist

Kindness

Mysterious cities

Appear in the sky

Starlight pathway to the moon

Star beams reach down on you and shine

Moonlight

Starlight

Midnight

Daylight

Love is a commodity

To be traded around the world

It’s a love obsessed society

Love is not in short supply in the universe

Everyone in pairs up above

Experiencing unconditional love

An old soul

With a guitar

The big spirit

In the sky

May you find what you are looking for

Chasing the moonlight

Following the sun

Dancing your way

To the only one

Loving the way you look at me

Being the way

God meant me to be

Time won’t heal all wounds

Looking back on your past lives

May your lovers be your delight

Temple sacrifices have gone by

Moonlight halo

Starlight

Sunlight

Limelight

But when I turned away

Infamy waited for me

Bittersweet I left in the fall

No more talk Of the hall

Seems like everybody

Wants somebody else

Everybody is in love with somebody else

Innocent summer

A cold shoulder

Trinity, trilogy, celebrity

Staring at the ground

Cap and scowl

He ruins all for me

He says love

Why don’t you want me

You failed to see me

But I saw you as

You were meant to be

You became a warm embrace

But I will always remember

The moonlight pathway

Saw your star

Before the world did

Starlight dancing

Above you

The female Gaze

Upon you

A guiding star

A shower of starlight

And your beauty

As the Roman plays

In the Colosseum

Laurel leaves around his head

Sandals on his feet

Oh big spirit in the sky

Only I know

Who the good guys are

Moonlight

Starlight

Midnight

Limelight

Great spirit in the sky

Appellation

El dorado

Machu Picchu

Cradle of life

Of civilisation

Mysterious cities

Appear in the sky

Star beams reach down on you and shine
