If the Book of Heaven opened up
What would I see
Crystal shores
A diamond sea
No creature hurting
As God planned it to be
Would you walk across the waters
As impossible as it seems
Would you take me in your arms
As God planned it to be
Glorious and beautiful
The look of an angel
Eyes lit from within
But a life of sin
A face radiant and bright
No shade to block the light
And at heaven’s gate
You will know your fate
If I am waiting for you
On crystal shores and diamond sea
At gates of pearl
A treasure of the Holy Sea
The highest heaven
I am sure it will be
For you
But maybe not for me
A Lord with compassion
To heal every emotion
Will I be in the Book of Life
A book for the heavens
My saviour
Seated to the right in heaven
And an angels song
Will be heard in the new earth
And the Lord’s word
Will come to pass
Angels have free will
That’s what makes them so beautiful
Streets of gold call to me
And our history will become a mystery
