Valleys

By Kimberley Pearson

He made the valleys leap
To meet my weary feet
And made the wild hills flat
On which I lay and weep
Made the mountains bow and scrape
Created a heavenly landscape

Brought the heavens
Down to earth
Shot stars
Into my path
Lit up the unnatural dark

Taught me to love
Released a Holy Dove
Into my wretched live
Taught me how to be kind

Decreed heaven should be fair
Warmed the cold night air
Brought music to the earth
Heavenly strains on the dirt

Loved me into life
Kept my days from strife

Some mysteries can wait
Until the world is done with hate
Until there is no such things as fate
Because there is no such thing as fate
Because people control others to have it their own way

Until there is only heaven to create

I will never be the same
I will never be the same
I love the Lord my God
His rule of unconditional love
Love his holy name

We are the sum of our lives
If you can ruin an existence
It can’t be fixed by man

And what is written can’t be undone
And the unseen will soon appear

Disappear every fear
Dry up every tear
Please let me near God

And though he won’t turn back time
In the end I’ll find
What’s mine is mine
And what’s his is divine
